8th Semester MLT

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in managing clinical laboratories. It covers the historical evolution of laboratory sciences, organizational structures, quality management systems, laboratory safety, financial management, and legal/ethical considerations. Students will develop the skills required to effectively manage laboratory operations, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, maintain quality assurance, and optimize resources within modern healthcare systems.

Endocrinology is the study of hormones and their vital role in regulating body functions. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the structure and function of endocrine glands, hormone synthesis and mechanisms of hormonal action.

Students will explore key systems including the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, adrenal glands, pancreas and reproductive organs, along with their role in maintaining homeostasis. The course also emphasizes hormonal disorders, diagnostic tests and clinical correlations.

With a balanced focus on theory and practical aspects, this course equips BS MLT students with essential knowledge for hormonal analysis, laboratory diagnosis, and clinical interpretation.
