6th Semester RIT
An ultrasound (sonography) is a safe, noninvasive diagnostic tool that uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images or videos of internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow, with no known risks. Performed by technologists using a transducer and gel, it is commonly used for monitoring pregnancies, imaging abdominal organs, and guiding biopsies.
