Angiography & Cardiac Imaging-II (VIII)
8th Semester RIT
This course teaches advanced heart imaging and procedures, especially looking at electrophysiological studies (EPS) and catheter methods to diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems.
It includes specialised procedures, high-risk cardiac catheterization, complication management, and the use of cardiac support devices.
Students develop clinical knowledge and practical skills in assisting and interpreting interventional cardiology procedures such as PCI and valvuloplasty.
Nuclear Medicine-II (VIII)
8th Semester RIT
This course covers the principles of radiochemistry, radiopharmaceuticals, and clinical nuclear medicine imaging for major organ systems. Students learn scintigraphy techniques, image acquisition, processing, and therapeutic applications in nuclear medicine. Practical training includes radiopharmaceutical preparation, quality control, generator elution, thyroid uptake, and SPECT/gamma camera studies.
Research Project/Term Paper
8th Semester RIT
This course enables students to conduct an independent research study within their field. Students develop a research question, review relevant literature, apply appropriate methodologies, and analyze findings. The course emphasizes critical thinking, ethical research practices, and effective communication through a final written report and presentation.
